In addition to World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, the NPC Olgra will appear. For players who are familiar with the classic MMORPG version, she is known as “Mankrik’s wife”.

In the “Steppes” location, Horde players can take the “Missing in action” task from an Orc named Mankrik. He asks the player to find the wife who fought with him against the boars, but did not return home. This task is difficult to complete: in the original WoW, there are no placemarks on the map that can quickly find the location of the quest. Blizzard did not add any identification marks to make it easier for players to cope with the search for the Orc. Therefore, one of the most popular questions in the location was: “Where is Mankrik’s wife?”.

After wandering through the “Steppes”, the player either started asking this question to all users passing by, or studied every pixel on the map. The secret is that only a “Disfigured corpse” remains of Mankrik’s wife — this item should be picked up and taken to the widower.

The quest was so difficult that it turned into a meme. Any stupid or funny question in the chat was sometimes answered: “Mankrik’s Wife”. Some gamers made fun of the newcomers, explaining in detail where you can supposedly find Olgra, sending them to hard-to-reach places on the map.

Blizzard already made references to this quest in the Cataclysm expansion — then the task was removed due to location changes, but the NPC Mankrik remained in place. Next to it appeared a modest monument to Olgra, the tombstone says: “It took forever to find you.” In addition, Warlords of Draenor, which, in fact, is an alternative storyline WoW, the Orc family is much happier: players can access the quest “Lost in Nagrand”, which can be completed without much difficulty and find Olgra alive and well.

In Shadowlands, players will meet the same Olga who died many years ago during the events of the classic version of the game. She will live in Naltrexone — locations for soldiers who died in battle. She not only became a Gladiator, but also received the title of Vengeance of the Vanquished. “Revenge Of The Vanquished”). This is a reference to the comic fighting game that Blizzard released on April 1, 2014.

The release date of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is still unknown — in October, Blizzard postponed the release of the add-on indefinitely. According to the developers, the add-on will be released before the end of 2020.
