Initially, the title was scheduled to be released on April 16, 2020, but after several postponements, the release was scheduled for December 10, 2020.

According to experts, the new title from CD Project RED will be the best-selling game in the history of home devices in less than a year. According to Bloomberg estimates, the budget for Cyberpunk 2077 is about $130 million. For comparison, CD Project RED spent about $70-80 million on the last part of the Witcher, including marketing.
